Panama Folding Knife

After 30 years of performing astounding feats, the Panama Fighter has learned a new trick-it folds! And opens with a firm snap and solid lockup with a hardened stainless steel liner. To get the shape and feel of the Panama Fighter into a folding package was a complex challenge. From the challenges of using all stainless construction, forging the S35VN stainless blades, forming, finishing, and heat treating the stainless pocket clip to the finish on the stainless screws. The Panama Folder has the same comfortable contoured grip the Panama is famous for. The spring steel clip slides smoothly in and out of the pocket, without wearing the edge of the pocket. Blade has an “eye opener” thumb stud for one handed opening and closing, right or left handed. Pocket clip, thumb stud and stainless screws have a subdued finish. Every Day Carry

The Model in the picture has been my constant companion, Every Day Carry, for over 6 months. Usually rides in my left front pocket, even though I’m right handed. The right-left thumb stud is a great addition, as I usually have something in my right hand by the time I need to cut something. The S35VN blade is as sharp as when I first slipped it into my pocket. From opening shipping boxes and cutting them up to go into the wood stove, cutting rope and twine in camp and in the garden, slicing open bags of potato chips, peeling and cutting up apples and potatoes,  to digging arrow points out of the redwood frame around my archery target-saved a lot of arrows. The Panama Folder has proven itself worthy of every task I put it to and just “feels good” to know it’s always there for me. So stay tuned, I’m going to see how many months or years I can use it before I need to sharpen it!
